Free Entrance to National Parks for Martin Luther Jr. King Day

List of California national parks and moments that are free to enter on January 20, 2020, for MLK Day.

In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr Day on January 20, 2020, entrances fees will be waived for national parks and national monuments throughout the United States. Here is a list of parks and monuments that typically charge, but will be free to enter that day:

  • Cabrillo National Monument (SoCal)
  • Death Valley National Park (SoCal)
  • Joshua Tree National Park (SoCal)
  • Lassen Volcanic National Park
  • Lava Beds National Monument
  • Muir Woods National Monument
  • Pinnacles National Park
  • San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park
  • Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks
  • Whiskeytown National Recreation Area
  • Yosemite National Park

In 2020, National Parks are also free to enter on:

  • April 18: First day of National Park Week
  • August 25: National Park Service Birthday
  • September 26: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day
