Free Entrance to National Parks for National Parks Week

List of California national parks and moments that are free to enter on the first day of National Parks Week.

In celebration of the first day of National Parks Week on April 18, 2020, entrances fees will be waived for national parks and national monuments throughout the United States. Here is a list of parks and monuments that typically charge, but will be free to enter that day:

  • Cabrillo National Monument (SoCal)
  • Death Valley National Park (SoCal)
  • Joshua Tree National Park (SoCal)
  • Lassen Volcanic National Park
  • Lava Beds National Monument
  • Muir Woods National Monument
  • Pinnacles National Park
  • San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park
  • Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks
  • Whiskeytown National Recreation Area
  • Yosemite National Park

In 2020, National Parks are also free to enter on:

  • August 25: National Park Service Birthday
  • September 26: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day
