The Julian Fiddle and Pickin Contest will be held on May 30, 2002, and presented by the California Old Time Fiddlers Assocation District 7 in partnership with the Julian Chamber of Commerce.
Registration begins at 8:00, and the various divisions are scheduled throughout the day.
Contestants can compete in fiddle (all ages, from peewee to seniors) as well as pickin' (guitar, mandolin, and banjo). The contest breaks for lunch and dinner so it's a great time for the audience to grab lunch and do a little shopping on Julian's beautiful Main Street.
Awards for the younger categories are given after lunch, and the rest of the categories are awarded in the evening. This is a free event, and attendees are welcome to come and go throughout the day.
It's a wonderful opportunity to listen to live music and enjoy this American tradition in Julian's historical town hall. For more information, see the event page on Facebook or contact Tricia Elisara at email@example.com
Many events are being postponed or cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. Please check with event organizers before buying tickets or attending events.
