General Outdoors Camps

Camp Fire - Camp CaHiTo

Camp Fire - Camp CaHiTo, based on an 7.5-acre reserve in San Diego's Balboa Park, offers camps for kids ages 3-16, that include a range of outdoor activities, including archery, hiking and swimming. Camp Fire offers half-day and full-day camps. The camp also holds overnight camps for kids 6-16 years old. For more information, visit the camp website.

Outpost Summer Camps

Outpost Summer Camps entirely outdoor summper programs that allows campers to reconnect with nature, get the exercise their bodies need and see their inner creativity spring back to life untethered to devices or at-home comforts. They offer camps for kids ages 3 to 14 that are based at Canyonside Community Park in Rancho Penasquitos, adjacent to Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve, a 3,700 acre wilderness preserve jointly operated by the City and County of San Diego. They also offer a Pre Camp program for kids 3-5 that is located at North City Presbyterian Church in Poway. They offer three sessions of three-week camps, for each age group. Mesa Rim Climbing Gyms

Mesa Rim climbing gym offers summer camps for kids in grades kindergarten to eighth grade at both its Mira Mesa and Mission Valley locations. The camps run in length from 1 day to 5 days, depending on your needs. Extended care for the late afternoons is available as well. Camp Vertical

Camp Vertical is Vertical Hold Climbing Gyms' rock climbing-focused summer camps for kids 7-14 at locations in San Diego, San Marcos and Poway. Mission Bay Aquatic Center Watersports Camp

Mission Bay Aquatic Center Watersports Camp is a week-long full-day or half-day camp based at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center in San Diego. Sponsored by YMCA of San Diego, the camp engages kids in a range of water sports, including surfing, wakeboarding, kayaking, sailing, marine science and windsurfing. The camp is for kids 6 to 17. Living Coast Discovery Center Wildlife Camps

Living Coast Discovery Center on San Diego Bay in Chula Vista offers week long Wildlife Day Camps from June 8 to July 24. The camps, for kids 4 to 18 years old, focuses on animal encounters, games, arts & crafts, outdoor exploration, role play and career exploration. Full-day and half-day sessions are available.
