Wildhaven Yosemite Opens New Glamping Site Near National Park
Wildhaven Yosemite has opened a new glamping site in Mariposa, California, at the southwestern edge of Yosemite National Park. The site offers a mix of cabin and tent accommodations, aiming to provide visitors with a comfortable yet nature-immersed experience.
The 36-acre property includes 12 cabins and 30 tents. It is located next to a 2,000-acre protected ranchland area offering views of rolling hills and the Sierra Mountains. Ken Barber, co-owner of Wildhaven Yosemite, told Travel and Leisure Magazine that the site is designed to help guests feel more connected to nature and less tethered to city life. It is a 45-minute drive from the Arch Rock entrance to Yosemite.
On the property, guests can explore a nature trail with views of Mariposa, and enjoy a hilltop pergola suitable for observing sunrises and sunsets. The site also features an on-site clubhouse, which provides s’mores kits, barbecue meals, picnic items, and beverages.
Cabin options at Wildhaven Yosemite include studios with a queen bed and up to three twin beds in an upstairs loft and one-bedroom units with a queen bed and a futon sofa. All cabins come equipped with kitchens, bathrooms, showers, private outdoor fire pits, electricity, heat, and air conditioning. Tents are available with various sleeping arrangements, including one or two queen beds or a queen bed with two sets of bunk beds.
Barber emphasized that Wildhaven Yosemite’s goal is to offer a space where guests can disconnect from technology and reconnect with their friends and family.
This is Wildhaven’s second site, following its initial site in Sonoma, California. Other upscale camping options are planned for the Yosemite area, with Under Canvas Yosemite and Outbound Yosemite scheduled to open in 2025.
