The Bike Park
San Diego BMX Track is a classic dirt racing circuit featuring a start hill, a series of table-top jumps, doubles, step-ups, rhythm sections, and high-banked berms that make for exciting, fast-paced racing. The facility caters to riders from young beginners to experienced pros, with events organized under USA BMX sanctioning.
Regular practice sessions provide opportunities for newcomers to learn the sport and experienced riders to hone their skills. Races are held frequently, attracting a lively community of BMX enthusiasts from across Southern California. In the summer, camps are held at the track, run by Dale Holmes and the Magdelena Ecke Family YMCA.
Helmets and appropriate safety gear are mandatory. The track is closed during and immediately after heavy rains to preserve the dirt surface.
