How to Get to Applewhite Campground
Applewhite Campground is located along Lytle Creek Road, three miles past the Lytle Creek Ranger Station. From Interstate 15, take the Sierra Avenue exit in Fontana and head north. Follow the signs for Lytle Creek, and continue driving for about 10 miles to reach the campground. The upper loop campsites are on the left, and the lower loop campsites are on the right.

Nestled at an elevation of 3,300 feet, Applewhite Campground offers a peaceful environment surrounded by trees and the soothing sounds of nearby Lytle Creek. The campground is ideal for both short weekend getaways and extended stays, with ample opportunities for recreation in the surrounding forest.
The campground features dozens of single-family campsites, some suitable for RVs. While no hookups are available, paved parking aprons and accessible flush toilets make the campground convenient for campers. Each site has a picnic table, a campfire ring, and a grill.
Lytle Creek, located just across the road, provides a relaxing spot to cool off or enjoy a picnic. For outdoor enthusiasts, the surrounding area offers several day hiking trails and off-highway vehicle (OHV) opportunities in the nearby Cajon Pass area. Rules and Regulations
Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and a maximum of eight people and two vehicles are allowed per site. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash, and campers must clean up after their pets. Note that the campground closes for all use from Tuesday at noon to Thursday at noon.
