How to Get to Taboose Creek Campground
To reach Taboose Creek Campground, head north on U.S. 395 from Independence for 14 miles. Turn west onto Taboose Creek Road and continue for approximately 2 miles to the campground.
Campground Overview
Taboose Creek Campground is a well-maintained, developed campground nestled in the Eastern Sierra. With 35 campsites, it offers ample space for both tent camping and larger RVs. The campground features basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. While there are no shower facilities or hookups, a water well provides drinking water for campers.
The campground is open from late April through November 15, and the fishing season runs from the last Saturday in April until November 15. A fishing license is required for anyone 16 years and older, making it a popular spot for stream fishing enthusiasts. Each campsite can accommodate up to six people.
Camping fees are $14 per vehicle per night, with an additional charge of $5 per night for extra vehicles. An automated pay station accepts both credit cards and cash for payment.
