While the North Fork of the San Jacinto River flows nearby, access is restricted to protect the endangered mountain yellow-legged frog. The campground’s location in the San Bernardino National Forest provides a wide range of nearby recreational opportunities, including hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Within 10 miles, visitors can find grocery stores, laundry facilities, and even a movie theater.
Campfires are allowed within designated fire rings, subject to current fire restrictions. Dogs are welcome but must always remain on a leash and under control. Fire restrictions and water availability may vary, so campers are advised to check current conditions with the Idyllwild Ranger Station before heading out.
