Heart Bar Family Campground

Nestled in the San Bernardino National Forest near the San Gorgonio Wilderness and Sand to Snow National Monument, Heart Bar Family Campground is a great spot for those seeking an escape into nature.
With 89 campsites available, campers can choose between reservable and first-come/first-serve spots. The campground is situated at an elevation of 6,900 feet, offering cooler temperatures during the summer and stunning views of the surrounding wilderness.
Note that due to the wildfires of 2024, this campground may be closed.

Directions
Heart Bar Campground is approximately 35 miles northeast of San Bernardino. To get there, take I-10 East to Redlands, exit at University Street, and head north. Turn right on E. Lugonia Avenue/SR-38, and follow it for about 30 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road IN02, and the campground is a short 0.25-mile drive ahead.
If you’re starting from Big Bear Discovery Center, head southwest on SR-38 for 20.3 miles before turning left into the campground.
